Annual Leadership Summit

The annual leadership summit connects and inspires young people to lead responsibly towards a better world through in-person leadership training. We focus on student leaders in high schools across Uganda and the East African region, between the ages of 13 and 25.

The Program Design

Through a structured leadership development program, personalized offerings and one-on-one mentorship, our young people access new insights, skills, and connections to accelerate their influence and impact in their respective communities.

Attending ALS is an opportunity and a start of a long journey of continuous learning, commitment that prepares young people to become more responsible, values-based, to live a life of purpose, and in the long-term to become impactful, transformational, accountable leaders.

Discover

This serves an entry point into our programs. Through in-person programming, our young leaders from a network of partner schools access learning opportunities in partnership with top influential individuals, leadership coaches, trainers, and more, gaining fresh insights and practical training in areas such as life values and principles, social entrepreneurship and responsible servant leadership.

Encounter

Young leaders come together at the summit, workshops, and community projects where together we implement creative solutions to community issues and spark joint ventures. Exposure to new perspectives instills servant leadership and a sense of shared responsibility at a key juncture in their lives.

Long-Term Network

Our leaders are motivated by one another and their shared leadership experiences. These help young people to understand themselves as capable of bringing about transformative change in their communities and countries, and inspire them to find solutions to pressing community issues. Our leaders stay connected through our large network, which gives birth to collaborations for realizing change.

The Big Picture

Our alumni are crucial to our community’s success.

Alumni serve as exemplary role models through embodying life values and taking actions as an outgrowth of their personal transformation. They also support LeadMinds Africa in identifying partner schools in their respective communities.

When the young leaders complete the 3-days programme, they are invited to join our Alumni Community to maintain engagement with LeadMinds Africa. As alumni and mentors they participate in alumni events and support the next generations of young leaders.

When they complete high school, our students stay connected through our networks of leaders in universities across the world who meet regularly through small group focused and facilitated sessions. This evolves into a movement of leaders who lead with humility, empathy, values and commitment to serve those they lead.
